Clemson Downs is proud to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association as an ECHO Hub partner, bringing world-class expertise, education, and support directly to our community. Through this innovative partnership, we serve as a regional hub for Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes). This program connects healthcare providers, caregivers, and community organizations with Alzheimer’s and dementia specialists.
By sharing best practices, offering ongoing training, and creating a collaborative learning network, we help ensure that those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias receive the highest-quality care. Our commitment as an ECHO Hub partner reflects Clemson Downs’ dedication to advancing knowledge, supporting caregivers, and improving outcomes for residents and families touched by memory loss.

Thank you for your interest in our retirement community – the only continuing care retirement community model serving the Clemson area. We opened in 1980, when a small group of retired Clemson professors and local business leaders formed Clemson Area Retirement Center, affectionately known as Clemson Downs. Our friendly staff exemplifies professionalism and care by serving our residents with skill and compassion. Our 38-acre tree-lined campus is ideal for making this pastoral community your home. We are located within the city limits of Clemson, South Carolina and our purpose-built neighborhood reflect design elements that promote each resident’s wellness through engaging activities and programs. Our residents routinely take part in entertainment and educational opportunities offered by nearby Clemson University, Southern Wesleyan University, and Tri-County Technical College. At Clemson Downs, we take pride in our continuum-of-care model, fusing Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Healthcare into a unified and supportive environment. As a resident at Clemson Downs, we give you our commitment to offer services that maximize your lifestyle.
We're In this Together.
