Our Culture
Your home at Clemson Downs is at the center of it all!
Our continuing care retirement community combines what you love about living on your own with an added sense of well-being and support. Our goal is to enable you to live as actively as you wish while providing resources to engage your mind, body, and soul.
You’ve earned the opportunity to be as busy as you want to be and spend the time doing what you love. Clemson Downs offers a multitude of activities, from growing your own plants and vegetables to taking part in the enriching programs and events that are hosted throughout the year.
Our local area boasts fine dining, the South Carolina Botanical Garden, local theater, and all the college sporting events, just a few miles away at Clemson University. If you are a lifelong learner, you can attend courses and take classes through Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) as well as audit classes at one of our local colleges or universities. If you enjoy being on the water, you can rent a boat for the day and spend time on one of the three lakes that are just minutes away.
If staying home suits you more, there is ample opportunity to stay engaged by exploring our thirty-eight-acre campus, complete with a natural stream and wooded walk. In addition to the on-site outdoor opportunities, our wellness program is designed to keep you performing at your best with classes for every fitness level.
Clemson Downs has been an integrated part of the local community for over forty-five years. We have cared for countless residents through the years and consider them our family. Come visit us, experience the warmth and community that has stood strong for over four decades. We hope you will join us and become part of our family, too.
We're always ready for gameday!
