Life is meant to be lived, enjoyed to the fullest, and here at Clemson Downs, we don’t hold back!

Clemson Downs employs six full-time activity coordinators, one in each of our levels of care and two in our skilled nursing care. Each coordinator tailors activities for the specific area and works as a team on campus-wide events. In addition to daily on-campus activities, Clemson Downs also provides weekly bus routes to area grocery stores, Walmart, and the Central Clemson Recreation Center.

Please see the attached monthly activity calendars, which showcase the diverse activities planned for all levels of care. Our activity coordinators strive to provide engaging, educational, and culturally enriching activities for our residents. Clemson Downs works closely with Clemson University, and several student groups volunteer throughout the semester to interact with our residents.

Our assisted living and memory care activity coordinators are dedicated to incorporating daily activities into residents’ lives. Their programs are planned with intentions of enhancing our residents’ well-being while promoting physical, cognitive, and emotional health. There are planned activities that promote self-esteem, education, independence, and creativity. Some examples of our different programs are holiday parties, music and education programs, and off-campus outings. One-to-one activities are also provided for those residents who need individualized care.

Our activity coordinators in skilled nursing provide specialized activities and programs that meet the needs of our residents who require professional care. The activities include music programs and concerts, art programs in the Martha Getchell Art Room, and interactive exercise programs. There are also holiday parties, including birthday and anniversary celebrations.

As the above descriptions show, Clemson Downs is an exciting, vibrant, and active community with engaging, stimulating activities for every stage of life.
