Our resident-focused Creekside Cottage offers memory support and is dedicated to the special care that residents experiencing dementia require. Every detail has been deliberately addressed: Top-tier professional staff, health and wellness programs, a creative studio, and activities to enrich your loved ones’ skills and abilities. Through our commitment to excellence in care, we use best-in-class programs, such as the Positive Approach to Care™, taught by nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow. Several of our employees are certified to teach this program, which focuses on fundamentals to help care providers better understand those living with dementia, so that we can better relate to residents and their families. • Clemson Downs integrates the arts with memory support. Our residents enjoy weekly sessions with local artisans that focus on using the arts to engage brain function and tactile ability.
• Individualized care plans are designed to create a sense of meaning and purpose for each resident.
• Private rooms are available to all residents.
• Daily supervision by our memory support team.
• “Purpose-built” secure design features are ideal for memory support residents.
• Powerback Rehab Services provides on-site speech and physical therapy.
• A full-time Activity Coordinator focusing on our residents’ needs as a whole and individually, as well as an active volunteer staff who provide additional services and friendship.
• Laundry and housekeeping services are offered daily.
• Podiatry and X-ray services on-site.
• The private dining room serves three daily meals.
• Professional beauty salon in Creekside Cottage.
• Wheelchair lift-equipped van for transportation to medical appointments.
Clemson Downs is proud to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association as an ECHO Hub partner, bringing world-class expertise, education, and support directly to our community. Through this innovative partnership, we serve as a regional hub for Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes). This program connects healthcare providers, caregivers, and community organizations with Alzheimer’s and dementia specialists.
By sharing best practices, offering ongoing training, and creating a collaborative learning network, we help ensure that those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias receive the highest-quality care.
